BMW i8 changes perceptions at PPMA 2015
On the last week of September 2015 industry professionals from all around the world joined us on our stand at the PPMA Show 2015 to discuss disruptive innovation.
The BMW i8 was the perfect backdrop as it highlighted how new technologies can transform industries to improve efficiency and product quality. Representatives from member companies were on stand to discuss how new technologies could be best applied to food manufacturing to improve food quality and reduce costs.
The KTN (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) were on the stand to discuss how similar technologies could be applied to food manufacturing. One of the new innovations coming out of the consortium is OAL's APRIL (Automated Processing Robotic Ingredient Loading) system.
The disruptive technology will be demonstrated at the University of Lincoln's National Centre for Food Manufacturing early 2016. APRIL will be used to link OAL's rapid cooking system Steam Infusion with many other applications. There was a lot of excitement from many of the biggest names in food production stopping by to discuss how this style of innovation could deliver a step change in performance.
